It is a truth universally acknowledged that education, both good and bad, shapes every aspect of our lives. A good education is invaluable; a great education is priceless; but nothing is more expensive than ignorance. I myself remain committed to educating myself at every possible opportunity, whether through university courses, online programmes, internships or by other means. I am a tutor, a teacher, a mentor, a governor, a guardian, but also a student. For this reason, Learning by Teaching is at the core of my teaching ethos.
From studying in the British independent school system to working in the Spanish, Russian and Chinese education systems, my unique strength in tutoring, which comes from this vast international exposure and working with a wide array of clients, from those in the East end of London to the residents of Cap Ferrat, is adaptability. All my tutees learn to be adaptable, believe in themselves, be confident, disciplined, empathetic, friendly, generous, humble, introspective… for a full list, please reach out!

Private tuition extends far beyond subject teaching. At its highest level, it is holistic, adaptive, and deeply personal, designed to complement — and often surpass — traditional schooling.
The role is to deliver bespoke, multi-subject tuition aligned precisely with each learner’s academic goals, lifestyle, and long-term ambitions. Tuition is offered through one-to-one sessions and international residential placements, ranging from short-term intensives to long-term assignments of up to eleven months, delivered discreetly at clients’ residences across the UK, Europe, and further afield.
On residential placements, tuition becomes fully immersive. The role naturally expands beyond academics to include exam strategy, enrichment, extracurricular development, travel tuition, and pastoral support. Trust, adaptability, and emotional intelligence are essential; the tutor often becomes a mentor, guide, and stabilising presence within a dynamic family environment.
Assignments have ranged from primary residential tuition in the Hamptons and France, to GCSE cross-curricular support in Sicily, alongside placements spanning from short residential engagements on the Amalfi Coast to extended postings in Ukraine. Roles have included full-time governor, home-schooling specialist, entrance exam strategist for leading UK independent schools, university admissions mentor, and travelling tutor supporting continuity of learning across multiple international locations. This work demands exceptional flexibility, cultural sensitivity, and an interdisciplinary mindset, delivering excellence with discretion wherever learning takes place.
