about me
Born in Spain and raised in the UK, Rodrigo is a multidisciplinary private tutor for HNW clients. Oxford-trained and with an academic background across social and political sciences, Rodrigo is a qualified secondary classroom teacher following the UK curriculum, and an interdisciplinary specialist private tutor with extensive international experience across the United States, Hong Kong, Ukraine, and Europe.
Educated at Ampleforth College and holding degrees from University College London, King’s College London (including a year at the University of Hong Kong), and an MSc in Sociology from the University of Amsterdam, he completed his PGCE in Modern Languages at Pembroke College, Oxford.
Since 2013, Rodrigo has provided bespoke one-to-one tuition and residential academic support to high-net-worth clients worldwide. He is passionate about holistic education, tailoring his teaching to unlock each child’s full potential—from the most gifted to students with learning difficulties. Renowned for his highly personalised approach, he combines academic rigour with empathy and insight, inspiring intellectual curiosity, resilience, and a genuine love of learning.
Beyond teaching, Rodrigo has sung in cathedral choirs for over 15 years, is a keen sailor, and pursues photography and sketching with equal passion, bringing creativity and a keen eye for detail to all aspects of his life. Outside his professional commitments, Rodrigo is an avid traveller, spending his time primarily in Sicily, Spain, Portugal, and East Asia.
